A seasonal dinner series by Viva Hospitality, Rooted in Excellence is our heartfelt tribute to community, craftsmanship, and culinary creativity. Hosted twice a year — celebrating both the fall harvest and the renewal of spring — Each seasonal gathering brings together a collaborative team of chefs, farmers & neighbors to create a one-night-only tasting menu inspired by the harvest. Every course is thoughtfully paired with wines selected by our sommeliers, featuring both local treasures and international gems from our cellar.

Community Spirit

Hosted by the teams at Michael’s, Pesca, and La Nouvelle, each dinner features a collaborative, multi-course menu from Viva’s own Michael Lugo, Matthieu Landillon, and Natasha Olivera, alongside special guest chefs. Each course is paired with thoughtful wines and inspired by the bounty of our region.

Our guiding principle, Good Food for Good®, informs our vision of a vibrant, equitable, and sustainable independent restaurant industry that stands as a cornerstone of American culture and drives towards a better food system. For nearly 40 years, JBF has been instrumental in recognizing, amplifying, educating, and training the individuals who shape American food culture. Today, our mission comes to life through the prestigious James Beard Awards, industry and community-focused programming, advocacy and policy initiatives, and exciting culinary events and partnerships around the country—including at our new Platform by JBF® event space in New York City.
